Rogers, M. Jane ( Baudo), earned her eternal reward on Monday, October 12, 2009. Devoted wife of the late Vincent G. Rogers; adored mother of Bridget Rogers Yates (Carl Wesley Yates III), Vincent Gregory (Lynda Gazall) Rogers, Jr., Daniel Joseph (Tina Nix) Rogers; cherished Nana of Isabella Domenica Yates, Alexandra Nicole Rogers, Madeline Marie Tippie and Lillian Sophia Rogers; sister of Josie Castello, Ann Wallace and Sam Baudo and the late Dominic Baudo and Mary Lange; sister-in-law to Sister Mary Helen Rogers, O.L.V.N., Patricia Simon, Ann Rogers and the late Joseph Rogers, Lawrence Rogers and Geraldine Rogers; godmother to Cynthia Patton and Stephanie Stafford; aunt, great-aunt and friend. The daughter of Vincenzo and Guissepina (Patania) Baudo of Sicily, Jane grew up on Daggett Ave. on The HIll. Her given name was Pasqualina Domenica, as she was born on Easter Sunday, 1925. She legally changed her name as an adult. Before her marriage, Jane traveled the world both for leisure and as an employee of the former Kirkland Travel Agency, Air France and TWA. Jane opened and managed the first Ambassador Club at St. Louis Lambert International Airport. She married Vincent, the true love of her life in 1959 within six months of their first date. She was a 40 year member of St. Raphael's Parish, most recently volunteering as a reading tutor in the grade school. She loved live theater, ranging from Broadway musicals to any shows in which her granddaughters performed. The true measure of Jane's success was her love of family, her commitment to B-V-D. Jane never missed celebrating a birthday, which always included a card with a dollar bill enclosed and her signature smiley face. Generous beyond description no one left Jane's home empty handed and she always brought something to anyone she visited. Devoted to the Sacred Heart her favorite prayer was Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in thee. Please say it in her memory. Services: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON Chapel, 10151 Gravois, Thursday, October 15, 10:30 a.m. to St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church for celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials to Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund appreciated. Visitation Wednesday October 14, 3-8 p.m.
